FAQ
Dr. B.-Digitec organizes the fully digital workflow for dental prosthetics: intraoral scanning at the practice, verification of scan data in Germany, digital design and manufacturing by a partner, quality control, and express shipping back to the practice.
No. Dr. B.-Digitec is a fully digital partner laboratory. We consistently avoid media disruptions and utilize a seamless digital workflow.
For practices that work digitally or are preparing to transition into a digital workflow. Getting started is also possible without a scanner – we discuss the realistic next step together.
Ideally, yes. If no scanner is available yet, we advise on acquisition, trial placement, or interim solutions.
In most cases, yes. Open file formats, platform access, and export options are the relevant factors. We will assess the specific integration.
Common formats include STL, PLY, OBJ, and additional case-dependent formats. Platforms such as 3Shape Communicate, Medit Link, DS Core, Primescan/Connect, or iTero are supported depending on the configuration.
Via a secure transmission channel, which is set up individually upon practice onboarding. Please do not send any case data through the contact form.
An unclear scan is not processed silently. The practice receives specific feedback indicating which area needs to be supplemented or improved.
Standard restorations typically reach the practice within five working days. More complex restorations require approximately one week.
Manufacturing is carried out by a specialized partner. Quality control takes place before shipment and is completed in Germany.
Zirconia crowns and bridges (monolithic and veneered), PFM, non-precious metal restorations, combined prosthetic restorations, telescopic restorations, and further digitally compatible restorations.
Yes. An initial test case is common practice to jointly evaluate the digital workflow.
No, nothing is guaranteed. 40 percent and more are possible with suitable restorations. The individual cost estimate is always binding.
In the Practice Check, we clarify case numbers, indications, material selection, and realistic savings potential for your practice.
Multi-stage quality control: incoming inspection of scan data in Germany, production control prior to dispatch, optional random sampling after delivery.
The medical responsibility remains with the treating dental practice. Dr. B.-Digitec is responsible for the technical implementation and manufacturing quality.
Dental prostheses are subject to the regulatory requirements for custom-made devices. Manufacturer declarations and material certifications are provided.
Material certifications, manufacturer declarations and traceability for each respective case.
Yes. In the Practice Check, we discuss options for test cases and low-risk entry scenarios.
Start the practice check. In three short steps we clarify the key details and get back to you personally.
Yes. We produce the first three cases as free test cases so you can assess quality, fit and workflow without obligation. (Note: subject to final legal review.)
